By the way, I've been surfing all your site and man! it's great. I've found lots of info and love the way you present it, felt as if I was reading posts from a gym-friend. Thanks also for the modeling info, all I read in your squidoo articles: get a beach body and preparing for photoshoot. was really good. I've always felt attracted with the modeling world and is nice to hear about it from an insider. Man! you must be living such a jurney. Please add some thoughts about the industry in your next posts.
I believe in Jesus too, so felt good to read about you, including Him, within your motivation for fitness. "Thank you for your encouragement! Your advice makes so much sense! Btw, I have lost 13 lb since I wrote to you last. Drinking that 100 oz of water daily and SWEATING a lot - I'm sure it's mostly 'water weight', but it's a start.
The day of my 'burn' was incredibly hot and humid. Crawling through the burn building in full (heavy) gear, managing a charged hoseline pushed me physically - I wanted to quit, felt like I had to. But I reached down inside and told myself that I CANNOT FAIL. I pushed, with every ounce I had, and did it. Drinking all that water throughout the week prior to the burn was a great help, as I felt very well hydrated.
I also concentrated on eating light, very healthy meals and snacks. In just that week, my body actually felt lighter.Thank you, thank you again! I still look forward to your advice and even more, to working with you when the 'window opens' in my life."

"I'm a 15 year old (turning 16 later this week though) living in england considering doing fitness modeling alongside school. I keep pretty fit and lean but I'm not a fan of bodybuilding, I was wondering to be in the kind of business do you have to have huge muscles, or is it more just being lean and defined (obviously with some pretty decent muscles). Also, is it possible to do alongside school or is it more of a full-time devotion.
And (last question i promise :P) how do you actually get into the business?"John
"I'm a 15 year old girl. I do road races, cross country, track, and am working up to a marathon. I have also done tons of research and have changed my diet quite a bit over the past few years. Now the only processed foods I have are pretty much peanut butter, and.... that's pretty much it. I'm not overly restrictive with my diet and am not suffering in any way; I just don't crave junk food anymore. It doesn't really register as food. :)
Despite how much I exercise, I still have a lot of adominal fat, as well as my arms and glutes. I seem to gain weight relatively easily, but I was in amazing shape last year. Then I was hit by a car while running last fall and gained about 5-7 pounds. When I resumed running in the spring, I lost a few, maybe three(?) pounds, though I CAN NOT LOSE THE EXCESS WEIGHT! I am very dedicated to a healthy lifestyle and I love it, so I'd like to be in the best shape possible.
Do you have any suggestions? I know you're a male fitness model, but do you know of any reason why this could be?"
