Steps To Be a Model Starting Now,Tomorrow

• You need a photographer to look your best and showcase your looks and versatility.

• You can pay some bucks to get quality photos by a respected photographer ,or you can search photographers on model mayhem in your own town.
• The key is to find photographers that are new yet serious in building their own ports. You can do a TF shoot in which your model talent is exchanged for the photoshoot to improve both of your ports in a barter.
• Be patient, ask around and don't be afraid to just start shooting. Try not to shoot nudes, but that is your call. Just for the fact that you don't know where they'll end up later if you should get quality bookings. Don't want it to bite ya in the behind yaknowadasayin?
• Your goal is to shoot and get practice, try to get photos that will help you get signed to an agency. Photos you want are au natural, no logos or companies on your clothes, dry hair and relaxed serious poses. Add in a smirk or smile in a couple.;-)
• Don't need to get crazy artistic or creative, or excessive photoshop. You need to show what you look like when you just wake up or just plain you. They will make you look how they want when you get booked, make up artists and hairstylists are pro's for a reason. :-).
• Organize your photos and now it's time to sell the product-yourself.
• You need to contact and submit your photos to every agency either in your town or preferably, an agency in NYC,LA,London,Chicago, Boston, or Miami. This is where stuff happens, good stuff...
• If you submit to your local agencies, I provided a list of regognized agencies in every state to your left. You can search for more, these are just legit ones that I heard of. There are some shady ones also so be careful please.
• You should never have to pay anything to a model agency and high price "classes" aren't necessary. I worked over 50 paid jobs with over a dozen mainstream companies and I never took a "class". You just need to be dedicated, willing to learn, and want to get better. You get better with practice in expressions, feel, and poses.
• Try to always do something productive everyday to be a model. Even if it's as small as submitting photos, contacting agencies for interviews, setting up new shoots, making a website for yourself or blog, etc. There is always something to do, everyday counts. To be a model, you just have to want it and put yourself in the position to make a job happen.
• I had to do a TONNNNN of free work and crappy gigs when I started, had to call off and lose money, lost some friends, spend way too much time in the gym, but it was all worth it to get a taste of the first paid booking. You just need to realize it doesn't happen fast, you have to work your way up. It's definitely possible and doable.
• Once you are in an agency, make sure to be on time to castings and shoots, bring what they say to bring(even though you may not even use it). Sometimes, you may not get the job that time, but they may book you for the next promotion so every one counts. I assure you of that.
• To be a model, you gotta put yourself in the best position you can and let the cards fall. Most give up before they are in the best position. You just need to be persistent and it will come your way. Don't be afraid to move to a big city like NYC or LA. It's not as crazy as it sounds. Yeah, it's highly competitive but once you are in front of companies you always wanted to work for, regardless if you get it or not, at least you did everything you could that's in your power. That's success. Most just dream and never risk it all. You have to risk something to get a modeling booking eventually, but once you do, you will taste success and motivation will be high to get the next one easier, and easier after that.
• Do these steps and be patience, just take small steps everyday. Look into a model agency in your town and sign up to modelmayhem.com to find local free shoots. They are everywhere. Be respectful and professional, and don't be afraid to turn down a shoot if you feel it's not going to help your port. Everyone has their own style, you need to find where you fit in and then maximize that look in front of the companies that fit your niche.
• Get started asap, you are less likely to quit if you have a base of investments for yourself as a model. Keep investing and working step by step. Goal 1- Get a free shoot Goal 2-Do more free shoots until you have a portfolio. Goal 3- Get signed with your port. Goal 4- get your first job or contact bigger and better agencies. Goal 5- Get another modeling booking.
